Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated and frozen storage areas
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold storage equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments for quality compliance and documentation accuracy
- Implement FIFO rotation systems and maintain organized inventory records
- Adhere to strict sanitation protocols and HACCP standards in cold environments
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize storage space and workflow
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage, warehouse, or logistics operations
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures (0°F to -20°F) for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Valid driver's license with clean record
