Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature ranges (-10°F to +40°F) in refrigerated/freezer units
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient loading/unloading of perishable goods
- Conduct daily inventory counts using WMS systems and barcode scanners
- Adhere to HACCP, OSHA, and FDA safety protocols for food handling
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment
- Document temperature logs and quality control reports daily
- Coordinate with warehouse team for seamless cross-docking operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly in sub-zero environments
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP)
- Proficient with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Spanish bilingual preferred for El Paso market
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including nights/weekends)
