Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Monitor and document warehouse temperatures and humidity levels
- Inspect and maintain cold storage equipment (pallet racks, doors, insulation)
- Follow HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for food handling
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive shipments using proper PPE
- Conduct inventory counts in cold storage zones
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
