Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) and humidity levels in refrigerated storage areas
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Organize and rotate inventory according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and storage zones
- Operate temperature monitoring systems and document readings
- Adhere to HACCP protocols and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team members for efficient warehouse operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in temperatures below 40°F for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in warehouse, cold storage, or food handling preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
