Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely move pallets and packages to and from trucks and storage areas using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy within the warehouse.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Material Handling: Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
- Documentation: Accurately complete shipping logs, delivery tickets, and daily activity reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior forklift experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and climb ladders or stairs.
- Skills: Basic math skills for reading scales; ability to operate handheld scanners (training provided).
- License: Valid driver’s license required.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
