As a Forklift Operator at Metro Logistics, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that our clients receive their orders accurately and on time. We offer comprehensive training, competitive benefits, and a clear path for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and organize warehouse stock to optimize workflow.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, company protocols, and traffic regulations within the facility.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but we provide paid training for the right candidates.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
