Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory checks, label stock correctly, and update inventory systems accurately.
- Maintenance Checks: Conduct routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; a valid Driver's License is required.
- Experience: Previous forklift experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills to understand safety logs and inventory reports.
- Attitude: A positive, safety-first mindset with a willingness to learn.
