Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory safely and efficiently
- Inspect and maintain forklifts daily, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Load/unload trucks and containers following established procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily productivity targets
- Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company policies at all times
- Participate in regular safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license (required for forklift certification)
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Willingness to obtain OSHA forklift certification (training provided)
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transportation to the Chicago facility
