Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Verify inventory accuracy by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in organizing stockrooms and pallets to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors regarding daily schedules and material requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., Class A, B, or C) is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking.
