Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts (Counterbalance, Reach, and Pallet Jacks) to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records by tagging and logging stock items.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a zero-accident workplace environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately to the supervisor.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of obstructions to ensure safe traffic flow.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and damage, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid OSHA forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy industrial forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven terrain.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Tools: Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and using warehouse management software (WMS).
