Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks) to move, stack, and organize inventory with precision and care.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring proper placement on pallets and securing loads for transport.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand shipping manifests and labels.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with handheld scanners or warehouse software.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
