Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within warehouses and distribution centers
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment daily, reporting malfunctions immediately
- Load/unload trucks and organize inventory according to warehouse protocols
- Follow strict OSHA safety guidelines and maintain clean work areas
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize loading/unloading processes
- Complete daily shift reports and inventory documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 48 hours)
- Minimum 1 year of industrial forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transportation to various job sites in Greater New Orleans
- Basic math skills for inventory verification
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
