Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts by scanning and verifying incoming and outgoing freight.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and warehouse standards.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes efficiently.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not always required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available for overtime and weekends as business needs arise.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's license (CDL not required).
