Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in counting, sorting, and organizing stock to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse flow.
- Load & Unload Trucks: Efficiently handle inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring cargo is secured and ready for transport.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to coordinate daily tasks and solve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods; comfortable working in varying temperatures.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety when handling inventory.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for some driving duties.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand safety signs, labels, and instructions.
