Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Load/unload shipments, verify inventory counts, and maintain accurate warehouse documentation
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately
- Optimize warehouse space through strategic stacking and organization of goods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols including PPE usage and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA-approved)
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/forklift experience in cold-weather environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (-10°F to 50°F)
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
