Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure machinery is in safe operating condition.
- Verify inventory accuracy by counting stock and ensuring proper labeling and placement.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse floor to facilitate smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets and deadlines.
- Complete necessary documentation for inventory movements and safety logs.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for inputting data into inventory management systems.
