Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (counterbalance, reach truck) safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Load, unload, and stage freight for timely distribution to customers.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and logging stock movements.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and resolve logistical challenges.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a professional warehouse environment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
