Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (reach trucks, sit-down forklifts) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks before each shift.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and scanning devices.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA 10 or equivalent certification required).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory software is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
