Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure all safety mechanisms are functioning correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Verify inventory accuracy by scanning pallets and logging data into the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure timely processing of shipments and efficient workflow.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as refueling (propane/diesel) or recharging batteries, as required.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations regarding material handling.
- Ability to read and understand shipping labels, pallets, and load plans.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality.
