Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Pallet Jacks) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure all safety mechanisms are functioning correctly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements into the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Organize and stack pallets in designated storage areas to maximize space efficiency and prevent blockages.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and workplace safety.
- Assist in general warehouse duties as needed, including shrink wrapping and labeling.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Certification: Must possess a current Class A or Class B forklift operator license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized and capable of maintaining precise inventory counts.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read labels, maps, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record (if driving a forklift in a yard setting).
