Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments from trucks, railcars, and conveyors.
- Material Handling: Move pallets, skids, and loose items to designated storage locations using proper techniques.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks (Counterbalance, Reach, or Reach Truck).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class C) required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read work orders and labels.
