Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper tagging.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and speed to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse equipment immediately to the supervisor.
- Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area to prevent accidents and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and logs accurately.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for some yard truck operations.
- Reliability: Strong attendance record and willingness to work overtime as required.
