Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials within 250,000 sq ft warehouse
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Manage inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Maintain OSHA compliance standards for material handling equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading processes
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Support year-round inventory audits and cycle counts
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-approved forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating industrial forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license preferred
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
