Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Manage inventory counts and document material movements accurately
- Adhere to all safety protocols including proper stacking, weight limits, and aisle clearance
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize loading/unloading schedules
- Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards
- Assist in cross-functional tasks when needed to meet operational demands
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year recent forklift operation experience in warehouse settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness for safe material handling
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
