Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory safely and efficiently
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance checks on machinery to ensure operational safety
- Manage inventory counts and documentation with warehouse management systems
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following OSHA and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflows and meet production targets
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisors immediately
- Assist in training new hires on proper equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within first week of employment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operation experience in warehouse or industrial setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
