Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within warehouse and yard areas
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting any mechanical issues
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures
- Load/unload trucks and organize inventory with precision inventory management
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize workflow and meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment movements
- Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness skills
- Basic math proficiency for inventory counting and documentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights/weekends
- Clean background check and pre-employment drug screening required
- Valid New York State driver's license preferred
