Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily production targets and shipping schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Material Handling: Inspect materials for damage and ensure proper storage in designated areas to prevent loss or injury.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including inventory counts and equipment maintenance logs.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is highly preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, warnings, and safety regulations.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
