Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory with high accuracy to prevent errors.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and paperwork regarding load weights, destinations, and inventory counts.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace by following proper housekeeping procedures.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and reading labels.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends if required.
