Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (including sit-down and stand-up models) safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems in real-time.
- Ensure all loading and unloading procedures adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team leads to streamline workflow and optimize storage space utilization.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and hazard communication (HazCom).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
