Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (reach trucks, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts) to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Verify inventory accuracy by scanning barcodes and maintaining accurate logs of stock movements.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Organize storage areas to ensure efficient retrieval of goods and maintain a tidy workspace.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order picking.
