Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Control: Accurately count, scan, and verify inventory levels to ensure stock accuracy and proper organization.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of stock movements and daily logs as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class 1 or Class 4) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and processing orders.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
