Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and record inventory levels using scanners and manual logs.
- Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers according to safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- License: Valid Driver's License (clean driving record preferred).
- Communication: Basic ability to read and understand safety labels and operating instructions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
