Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklift equipment to ensure all safety protocols and mechanical conditions are met.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory with high accuracy to minimize shrinkage and errors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA safety standards and company regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and emergency procedures.
- Document inventory movements and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA Certified Forklift Operator License (Class 1 or Class 3) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
