Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and organized for transit.
- Inventory Management: Verify stock counts against manifests and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing proper PPE.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for inventory counting and order picking.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license preferred but not strictly required for training.
- Attitude: Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
