Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Load, unload, and move materials using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices and pick lists to ensure accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and ensure proper storage of inventory according to safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse managers and team members to coordinate workflow and meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and ability to pass a background check.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and pick lists.
