Responsibilities
- Operational Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies while operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Load, unload, and organize materials in the warehouse with high precision to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Pallet Stacking: Efficiently stack pallets and organize cargo racks to optimize warehouse space and prevent damage to goods.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely manner to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including load counts and equipment usage.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven warehouse floors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling fragile or high-value inventory.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with RF scanners, barcode readers, and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including potential weekend or overtime work.
