Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to delivery trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage inventory using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Material Handling: Perform routine inspection and maintenance of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition before and after shifts.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring pallets are stacked correctly to prevent accidents.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and reports regarding inventory counts and equipment usage.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, unexpired forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
