Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize palletized materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of material movements
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and warehouse procedures
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on equipment (battery charging, pre-shift checks)
- Collaborate with team to optimize loading/unloading efficiency
- Operate in temperature-controlled environments (cold/hot storage zones)
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 48 hours of hire
- Minimum 6 months prior forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
- Flexible schedule with reliable transportation for night shifts
- Experience in warehouse/distribution environments preferred
