Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and warehouse standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and documenting stock movements using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work the Night Shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a full-time basis.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read pick lists and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
