Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move pallets, racks, and other materials within the warehouse.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks while adhering to shipping schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock counting, cycle counts, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse organized and ensure proper labeling of stock areas.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to prevent errors.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a full-time schedule.
