As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our daily logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is moved safely and efficiently across our facility. If you have your certification and are ready to start immediately, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan, count, and verify stock using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Material Organization: Maintain organized storage areas and ensure pallets are stacked correctly to maximize space and prevent accidents.
- Palletizing & Packing: Prepare products for shipping by properly packing and labeling pallets according to customer specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to coordinate workflow and meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and equipment safety checks.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required for warehouse vehicle operation if applicable.
- Reliability: History of consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Training: Willingness to undergo additional safety training as required by the company.
