Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse facility safely and efficiently.
- Verify counts and quantities of stock to ensure inventory accuracy using barcode scanners and inventory management systems.
- Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, organizing pallets, and adhering to 5S standards.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, check manifests, and perform accurate inventory counts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting.
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class C or higher).
