The Role:
We are seeking reliable individuals to operate forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced distribution center located in Washington DC. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safe and efficient movement of inventory.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform daily pre-shift safety checks.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated racking systems.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and inventory counts.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and warehouse protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA 10/30) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous forklift operating experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
