Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, load, and unload palletized goods efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict safety protocols including OSHA compliance and equipment inspection procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflow and productivity
- Inspect and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor immediately
- Support inventory control initiatives through proper stacking and organization techniques
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) and overtime as required
- Basic computer literacy for warehouse system navigation
