Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in a fast-paced warehouse setting
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company inventory procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflow and dock operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Ensure proper stacking and secure storage of materials to prevent damage
- Support weekend inventory counts and cycle count initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and inventory control
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and consistent weekend availability
