Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to move, stack, count, and retrieve materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers, railcars, and trucks with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of the forklift and work area to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace, strictly adhering to 5S standards.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory counts and timely order fulfillment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or damaged goods immediately to the supervisor.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime shifts as required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and navigating uneven surfaces.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
