Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately stock and organize inventory, ensuring all products are properly labeled and located.
- Load Preparation: Prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring they are properly wrapped and secured for transport.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and equipment maintenance checks.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times to prevent accidents and ensure workflow efficiency.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to inventory movements and daily logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CDL not required but preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work the weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Documentation: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills required to follow safety instructions and logs.
