Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Load and Unload: Load and unload trailers, railcars, and shipping containers with accuracy and speed, adhering to weight limits.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and proper documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE and reporting any equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring all labels and barcodes are correct.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Weekend Availability: Must be available to work Friday through Sunday, including occasional overnight shifts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record is required for driving duties (if applicable).
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
