Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (e.g., Reach Trucks, Order Pickers) safely and efficiently to move, locate, or place merchandise and materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure all safety protocols are met before operation.
- Load and unload trucks in a timely manner, ensuring cargo is secure and properly documented.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts, verifying stock levels against system records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to 5S standards and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and dispatchers regarding inventory status and logistical needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations regarding heavy machinery.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems and data entry.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
