Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is handled with care.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock-taking, inventory control, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Material Handling: Organize and stack pallets efficiently using shrink-wrap and banding equipment.
- Communication: Collaborate with team leads and warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator License (CFP or equivalent) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean background check.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality are essential.
